Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5) is an American and Mexican actress. Her professional career began in Mexico with her starring role in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. With appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) In 1999, she quickly established herself in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal of Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) in which she also co-produced in the film, produced by Hayek, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. In addition, it earned her the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations.
